Court rejects autorickshaw permit plea of man acquitted in 26/11 terror case

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday (April 29, 2026) dismissed a petition filed by Fahim Ansari, acquitted in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack case, seeking a police clearance certificate (PCC) required to commercially drive an autorickshaw.

A Division Bench of Justices Ajay Gadkari and Ranjitsinha Bhonsale said the authorities had refused the certificate on security grounds and that the refusal was justified. The petition was filed in February 2024.
