Seeking to strengthen the party organisation at the grassroots level and build a team of dedicated leaders, top Congress leadership on Thursday (September 26, 2025) held consultations with newly appointed All India Congress Committee (AICC) observers for Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Rajasthan as part of the party’s ongoing Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi interacted with them, urging them to connect with the grassroots-level workers of the party.
They also urged them to connect with the workers and leaders to help build a team in every district of the country.
Using a quote from former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Mr. Kharge in an X post said, “The Congress should maintain close ties with those millions of voiceless people whom it represents.”
“When Congress workers mingle their thoughts and lives with these millions of people, the Congress committees will become such sacred places that will provide solutions to the problems of men and women suffering from injustice,” the Congress chief further said, quoting Pandit Nehru.
Senior party leaders from Rajasthan, Telangana and Chhattisgarh were also present.
“Today, at the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan AICC observers’ meeting, we strengthened our collective resolve to take the Congress organisation to every village, every city, every home,” Mr. Gandhi said in a Facebook post.
General Secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal, who is in-charge of the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan to strengthen the party at the ground level, in an X post said, “This will continue as our flagship effort of reviving the party’s grassroots organisation and building a strong team of leaders committed to protecting our Constitution”.
