In a bid to please the Majlis party for the sake of Muslim vote-bank and to continue appeasement politics, the State Congress government is resorting to attacks on Hindu organisations, institutions, and temples, alleged BJP State president N. Ramchander Rao.

In a statement, he accused the government of attempting to demolish Rajashyamala Devi Temple at Sarada Peetham in Kokapet Neopolis area, a spiritual centre where a Vedic school is being run and daily annadanam is served. He dubbed the act as “ atrocious and heinous”.

The Rajashyamala Devi Temple, belonging to the Visakha Sarada Peetham, was constructed on two acres of land allotted by the previous government in 2019. However, today the Congress government is attempting to demolish it, he alleged.

Terming Revanth Reddy’s government as a ‘crowbar government, he alleged that it is continuing to attack Hindu beliefs, and warned that the party would not remain silent if the government touches Sarada Peetham.

The BJP State chief said the Congress government is justifying the destruction of Hindu temples and homes of the poor in the name of HYDRAA and Musi beautification, and now it is trying to demolish even Mutts (monasteries), the spiritual centres.

Mr. Rao said that he spoke to swamji and will visit Sarada Peetham on March 2.

The BJP will not tolerate the Congress government interfering with Hindu temples and Mutts. The BJP will fight relentlessly for the protection of Hindu Dharma, he said.
