Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art greenfield kitchen being established by the Akshaya Patra Foundation at Enkepalli near Kodangal, on November 14.

The upcoming kitchen, spread over two acres, will cater to all government schools in Kodangal, which happens to be the Chief Minister’s Assembly constituency. Representatives of the Akshaya Patra Foundation met the Chief Minister on Monday and invited him to inaugurate the project. They briefed him about the advanced facilities planned at the kitchen to prepare and deliver high-quality meals.

The foundation has already been implementing the breakfast scheme in Kodangal since December, serving over 28,000 students across 312 schools. Under the current mid-day meal programme, the government contributes ₹7 per student, while the Akshaya Patra Foundation supplements this by spending up to ₹25 per meal to ensure superior quality and hygiene. The additional expenditure will be met through contributions from the foundation and Corporate Social Responsibility partnerships.
