With another worker succumbing to his injuries on Thursday (April 16, 2026) night, the death toll in this week’s power plant explosion in Chhattisgarh’s Sakti district has risen to 21.
Meanwhile, the Opposition Congress on Friday (April 17, 2026) demanded that those responsible for the industrial accident should face charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
