Forest, Ecology and Environment Minister and Bidar district in charge Eshwar B. Khandre on Saturday urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to ensure the continuation of the Bidar–Bengaluru flight service, which was revived last year with State support.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the 40th State conference of the Karnataka Working Journalists’ Association in Bidar, Mr. Khandre said the service, which had been suspended following the withdrawal of subsidy under the Centre’s UDAN scheme, was restarted on April 16 last year with financial assistance of ₹13 crore from the Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board (KKRDB).
