Chef-actor Madhampatty Rangaraj summoned for police inquiry

The police have summoned actor and popular chef Madhampatty Rangaraj to appear on September 26 for an inquiry into a complaint lodged against him by costume designer Joy Crizildaa who alleged that he had cheated her after marrying and impregnating her. 

Joy Crizilda recently lodged a complaint against Rangaraj alleging that he had not divorced his first wife, concealed his marital status, and forced her to have multiple abortions. The complaint was initially filed at the Chennai Police Commissioner’s Office and later, forwarded to Crime Against Women and Children Prevention Unit for further action. 

The officers of the special unit took up the complaint and recorded the statement of Joy Crizilda on Monday. Following this, the police have now issued summons to Rangaraj asking him to appear before the All Women Police, Neelangarai, on September 26.
