Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy alleged that the BRS was resorting to misinformation on social media by tampering with the voices of Congress leaders and circulating misleading content.

He claimed that a former IPS officer in the BRS has used a AI-generated photograph of him and another person meeting Rahul Gandhi, purportedly created after a person put up a flex banner bearing his name. “That officer is attempting to portray him as a villain before Telangana society using AI generated pictures.”

The BRS, he said, was depending on fake pictures, videos and voices to malign the Congress leaders. He also challenged the BRS to substantiate allegations concerning his landholdings.

“If there are assigned lands, properties included in the 22-A prohibited list or illegally acquired lands in my name, take me there. I will call the officials to the spot and hand over the properties in writing,” he said.

At a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, he accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of indulging in corruption during its nine-and-a-half-year rule and said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had detailed the alleged irregularities in the Legislative Assembly.

He said the Chief Minister had brought to light details of land and hotel holdings across nine districts, alleging that the BRS leadership had accumulated assets during its tenure.

Targeting BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, Mr. Chamala questioned his claim of having lived in the United States for six years and built a five-star hotel. If the KCR family was so capable, he asked, how had the State accumulated debts of ₹8 lakh crore during its rule?
