A bomb threat at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Sunday (September 28) morning triggered anti-sabotage checks by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and local police. Officials later confirmed it was a hoax.

The email, received around 6 a.m., claimed that a bomb had been planted at the airport and in several schools across the city.

Following the alert, security personnel from the CISF and local police conducted anti-sabotage checks in and around the airport. After thorough searches, officials confirmed that no explosives were found, and operations remained unaffected.

Based on a complaint, the RGIA police registered a case and have launched an investigation to trace the sender of the email.
