Bengaluru and Melbourne to collaborate on urban solutions

The civic administration of Melbourne, Australia gave a Letter of Intent to Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) to collaborate on urban solutions on Monday.

Melbourne Mayor Nicholas Reece, who is on a visit to Bengaluru, and handed over the LoI to Tushar Girinath, Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development Department, Karnataka on Monday, said that both cities look forward to developing AI-driven urban solutions that foster innovation and growth through collaboration and exchange of expertise.

The two sister cities have agreed to explore collaboration in urban innovation and smart cities, technology and innovation ecosystems, sustainability and climate resilience, education and knowledge exchange and cultural and sporting exchange, a statement from GBA said.
