Traffic was briefly disrupted along the Pappanamcode-Malayinkeezhu road on Sunday after an Army truck got stuck when it hit an overhanging tree branch at Poozhikunnu, near Pappanamcode.

The incident occurred around 12 p.m. when the truck became wedged under the branch while attempting to proceed. The impact caused the tree to lean dangerously over the truck and left it completely immobile. Despite multiple attempts by military personnel to manoeuvre the vehicle, it could not be moved further.

Soon, a Kerala Fire and Rescue Services team from the Thiruvananthapuram fire station rushed to the spot and cut the branch. The situation was resolved within an hour, and traffic subsequently returned to normal.
