The National Internship Portal run by the Ministry of Education’s All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has recorded over 4.7 crore student registrations in four-and-a-half years, AICTE’s Chief Coordinating Officer (CCO) Buddha Chandrasekhar said.
Mr. Chandrasekhar told The Hindu that of the over 4.7 crore registered students, AICTE had been able to verify the credentials of over 2.9 crore. “We have a vetting process in place to ensure those students who have registered for internships are attached to a college or an academic institution,” he said.
