Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is scheduled to visit Koppal on Monday to inaugurate several development projects that are ready and lay foundation stones to new ones at the Koppal Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Teaching Hospital on Gangavati Road.
He will inaugurate a new 450-bed teaching hospital building along with an attached Dharmashala and lay foundation stone for a super-specialty hospital.
Later, he will inaugurate an Indira Canteen at Bhagyanagar near Koppal and unveil a statue of the saint-poet Kanakadasa near the Koppal Bus Stand.
At 1.15 p.m., the Chief Minister will attend a programme at Agadi Layout on Hosa Pete Road organised by the district administration, the Zilla Panchayat and the Backward Classes Welfare Department.
During this event, ready development projects will be inaugurated, new projects will get their foundation stones laid, together worth ₹2,000 crore, and facilities will be symbolically handed over to beneficiaries of various department schemes. The programme will conclude at the district administration office.
The Chief Minister will leave HAL Airport in Bengaluru by a special aircraft at 10.30 a.m., arrive at Koppal’s Ginigera Airstrip at 11.40 a.m. and travel by road to the programme venue.
He is scheduled to leave Agadi Layout at 4 p.m., reach Ginigera Airstrip at 4.15 p.m. and return to Bengaluru by special aircraft at 4.25 p.m., according to a press release from the Chief Minister Office.
