Counselling-based transfers for sub-registrars in Karnataka to be made permanent exercise

Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda on Thursday said the State will make its counselling-based transfer system for sub-registrars a permanent, annual exercise, replacing a process that had long been viewed with suspicion.

The system, introduced on a pilot basis two years ago, covers sub-registrars in urban jurisdictions, including those under the Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority and municipal corporations. It is designed to ensure transfers are transparent and free from external influence.
