A case has been registered against four government doctors after a seven-year-old girl died of rabies following a stray dog attack at Punalur in Kollam district of Kerala, officials said on Thursday (April 30, 2026).

Niya Faisal of Pathanapuram succumbed to rabies in May 2025 after being attacked by a stray dog while playing in front of her house.
