Thrissur Pooram: Railways to operate special trains to Thrissur from southern Kerala

The Southern Railway will operate unreserved special trains in connection with the Thrissur Pooram this year. This is the first time in the history of Thrissur Pooram that the railways are operating special trains to facilitate the movement of passengers from southern Kerala to central Kerala.

In the past, the railways used to allot additional stoppages for trains at railway stations like Punkunnam, which is very close to Thrissur railway station, where the majority of all the trains have stoppages.
