Two schoolboys killed in lorry–two-wheeler collision near Anthiyur

Two boys were killed and two others injured in a collision involving a lorry and two two-wheelers near Anthiyur on Thursday (April 23, 2026) night.

The deceased were identified as C. Jeevan Prasad (17) of Vellithiruppur, who was riding a motorcycle, and M. Dev (18) of Kamarajar Nagar in Bhavani, who was on the pillion. They were students of a private school in Tiruppur district and had recently appeared for the Plus Two board examination. Their bodies were sent to the Anthiyur Government Hospital mortuary.
