Extreme heatwave conditions following the 41.8 degrees Celsius day’s maximum temperature on Thursday forced a majority of the people in Yadgir to stay indoors between noon and 5 p.m.

With a recorded relative humidity (RH) of 70.2 %, people who came out for emergency works wore towels, hats, while holding umbrellas and covering their faces with masks or thin cloth.
