Over 32,000 traffic e-challan cases were settled on day one of Fine Concession scheme on Sunday.

The Police Department collected ₹96.73 lakh through various prescribed modes of payment.

The rebate of 50% was introduced by the State government for pending traffic e-challan cases registered by the police. The scheme came into effect on Sunday.

The police said the initiative is intended to encourage motorists to clear long-pending traffic fines and improve compliance with traffic regulations.
