Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president C. Joseph Vijay, on Thursday (April 16, 2026), released the party’s election manifesto for the Assembly elections in Chennai and said his party had only promised what was possible, practical, and implementable if voted to power.

He also appealed to his party’s supporters to draw the TVK’s symbol, the ‘whistle’, as a kolam in front of their houses. Mr. Vijay, whose party is making its electoral debut by contesting alone, said the TVK’s election manifesto was based on the principles of Thirukkural, such as Aram, Porul, and Inbam, and these qualities must be a part of politics and administration.
