The dates for crediting amounts under Rythu Bharosa, the farmers investment support scheme, into the accounts of farmers have finally been announced.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will credit the first installment of ₹3,590 crore into the accounts of 70 lakh farmers owning one acre land on March 22. The release will coincide with the opening of oil palm processing plant at Narmetta in Siddipet district on the same day.
This will be followed by the second instalment of ₹2,650 crore within 20 days, tentatively on April 9 or 10 and the balance of ₹2,860 crore as third installment before April-end.
The development comes in the light of anxious moments faced by the farmers over the uncertainty on crediting of the amounts for the ongoing rabi (yasangi) season. The Chief Minister took a decision on the dates for release of amounts after holding discussions with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao and senior officials on Sunday (March 15).
The government will credit a total of ₹9,000 crore into farmers’ accounts as part of Rythu Bharosa envisaging crediting of ₹6,000 an acre for each of the two cropping seasons.
