The Thiruvananthapuram District Congress Committee (DCC) organised a protest march to the Secretariat, demanding the resignation of Transport Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar on Monday evening.
The march witnessed tense moments when several women activists attempted to breach the barricades and enter the Secretariat premises. Police personnel intervened to prevent the protesters from entering the Secretariat.
As the situation escalated, additional women police officers were deployed at the spot to control the crowd and ensure security.
The protest was held against the backdrop of allegations raised by the Minister’s wife, who alleged that she had been assaulted by Mr. Kumar’s staff members after seeing him with another woman at his residence in Valakom, Kollam.
