Reshme Krishi Mela to be held in Mysuru on March 3

Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute (CSRTI), in association with Department of Sericulture, Government of Karnataka, will be holding a Reshme Krishi Mela at Anugraha Convention Hall on H.D. Kote Road, near Udbur village, in Mysuru on March 3.

Newly developed sericulture technologies and technical bulletins will be formally released on the occasion, said a statement here.

An interactive session between farmers, scientists, and officials has also been planned to facilitate exchange of knowledge. In addition, an exhibition showcasing both innovative and time-tested technologies with proven impact on the silk industry will be organised. 

Outstanding sericulture practitioners will be felicitated during the programme in recognition of their contributions to the sector, according to the statement.

The Reshme Krishi Mela will be inaugurated by the Commissioner, Department of Sericulture Shilpa Nagar while Member Secretary of the Central Silk Board (CSB) P. Sivakumar will preside over the function. Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru G. Lakshmikanth Reddy and CFTRI director Giridhar Parvatham will also be present on the occasion.
