The Rotary Club of Hubli Vidyanagar, under the aegis of Rotary International District 3170, will be organising the third edition of TSD (Time, Speed, and Distance) Car Rally 3.0 on February 21.
The rally will take place from Hubballi to Goa.
Addressing reporters here on Saturday, president of the club Praveen Jain said, “The rally is organised under the social theme “Go Plastic Free” to raise awareness about reducing the use of plastic and promoting environmentally responsible travel.
More than 70 cars from Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa were expected to take part in the rally, and over 200 participants and guests would attend the award ceremony in Goa, he said.
MLA for Hubballi Central Mahesh Tenginkai and MLA for Hangal Srinivas Mane will flag off the rally at 7.30 a.m. from INorbit Mall on Gokul Road in Hubballi.
The award ceremony will be held at Club De Gasper Dias, Miramar, Goa. at 6.30 p.m. Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant is expected to attend the event.
Senior rotarians Mahima Dand, event chairman Sanjay Shetti and event secretary Vikram Jain were present.
