Hyderabad

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud has called upon the party rank and file to participate in State-wide protests against the BJP government’s proposal to remove Mahatma Gandhi’s name from the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) and replace it with “Viksit Bharat G Ram G”.

A protest demonstration will be held near Bapu’s statue near Gandhi Hospital at Secunderabad on Saturday. Similar protests will be held across district headquarters on December 21.

TPCC emphasised that these demonstrations are being held in response to the call given by the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
