Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday (November 12, 2025) condoled the death of three persons in a road accident in Sivaganga district and announced a solatium of ₹3 lakh each to the family members of those who died.

According to an official press release, Prasath, a native of Chittampatti in Madurai district, was returning home on a two-wheeler along with his wife Sathya, son Aswanth, and relative Soneswari after attending a funeral at Ananjaiyur village in Thiruppuvanam taluk on Tuesday evening.

Their two-wheeler met with an accident on the Poovanthi-Sakkudi stretch of the National Highway after colliding with a police vehicle bound for Sivaganga from Madurai. While Prasath died on the spot, his wife and son, who were admitted to the Thiruppuvanam Government Hospital, succumbed to their injuries.

The Chief Minister directed that special medical care be provided to Soneswari, who was injured and is undergoing treatment at the Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai. He also announced a solatium of ₹1 lakh to the injured person.
