Stalin pays tribute to Raja Raja Chola on 1,040th Sathaya Vizha

On the occasion of the 1,040^th Sathaya Vizha of Chola emperor Raja Raja Chola, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Saturday recalled the King’s enduring contributions to Tamil heritage and culture. “Today marks the 1,040^thSathaya Vizha of the great King Raja Raja Chola, whose glory has endured through the ages. His reign symbolised excellence in art, warfare, naval architecture, and irrigation. The city of Thanjavur has been celebrating the occasion with colourful illuminations and various events. Let us remember, preserve, and pass on to the next generation the invaluable contributions he made to Tamil civilisation,” he said in a social media post.
