Rain and hailstorm pound Bengaluru’s Central Business District as city records 78 mm

Downpour on Wednesday, coupled with thunderstorms and hailstorms, brought an end to a parched April. The city which received no rainfall throughout the month recorded 78 mm rainfall within a duration of about 30 minutes.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) observation data, the Bengaluru city station recorded 78 mm rain, theKempegowda International Airport (KIA) recorded trace rainfall, and the HAL airport received 24.7 mm till 5.30 p.m.
