Superintendent of Post Offices, Eluru Division, Surakattula Srikar Babu has announced that entries to the national-level ‘Dhai Akhar’ Letter Writing Competitions for 2025–26 will be accepted till December 8. The theme for this year’s competition is ‘Letter to My Role Model.’

The competitions will be held in two categories — envelope and inland letter card. They will be organised separately at both State and national levels for participants below 18 years of age and those above. The participants may write their entries, not exceeding 1,000 words in the envelope category and within 500 words in the inland letter card category, on a plain A4-size sheet. Only handwritten letters will be accepted.

To ensure authenticity, each participant must include a declaration on the letter stating: “I certify that I am below/above the age of 18 as on 01/01/2025.” The letters should be posted to the following address: The Superintendent of Post Offices, Eluru Division, Eluru – 534007. Entries posted after December 8, 2025, will not be accepted.

At the national level, the first, second, and third prizes will carry cash awards of ₹50,000, ₹25,000 and ₹10,000, respectively. At the State level, the winners will receive ₹25,000, ₹10,000 and ₹5,000 respectively. The Superintendent stated that all necessary stationery for the competition has been made available at post offices.

He appealed to all eligible students studying in government and private schools under the Eluru Division to participate in this competition.
