IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, who is on an official visit to Australia, has invited Indian-origin CEOs of leading Australian firms to partner with the State in its ‘Rising Telangana’ growth journey.

Highlighting Telangana’s emergence as one of the fastest-growing States in India, on the back of a strong economic foundation, stable governance and progressive leadership, the Minister, participating in a business conclave organised by The Centre for Australia-India Relations in Sydney, made a case for attracting investments.

Telangana has emerged as a secure and globally attractive investment destination and offers world-class infrastructure, transparent governance and a conducive policy framework. He showcased the State’s TG-iPASS single-window clearance system, progressive industrial policies and robust innovation ecosystem that support large-scale and emerging industries alike, the Minister’s office said on his interaction.

Assuring that the government will provide full facilitation and support to industries and investors seeking to establish or expand operations in the State, Mr. Sridhar Babu spoke of the ongoing efforts to build an industry-ready workforce through strategic collaborations with global and national institutions. He invited investors to explore opportunities in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Gaming, Animation, VFX as well as in semiconductors, aerospace, defence, Advanced Manufacturing, green energy and electric vehicle manufacturing.

On Friday, Mr. Sridhar Babu visited the Parliament of Victoria in Melbourne and discussed, with a few Australian legislators, the legislative procedures, parliamentary governance and public accountability frameworks. The Minister proposed enhancing institutional collaboration between Telangana and Victoria, particularly in areas related to governance innovation, public policy research, and digital transformation. Government Whip in the Victoria Legislative Council Lee Tarlamis and Parliamentary Secretary for Ambulance Services Sheena Watt appreciated Telangana’s reform-driven governance.

In another engagement, Mr.Sridhar Babu met senior representatives of Monash University, Melbourne, and invited the institution to collaborate with the State.
