The Maharashtra government released the seventh instalment of the ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Kisan Yojana’ launched for the financial stability of farmers. A total of ₹1892.61 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of 91.65 lakh farmers in the State.

Agriculture Minister Dattatreya Bharne said, “The scheme enables farmers to meet production costs, making agriculture sustainable. The number of these beneficiaries will increase as it will strengthen the economy of rural areas.”

The State government launched this scheme on the lines of the Central government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The scheme provides direct financial assistance, where the farmers receive the additional benefit of ₹6000 per year from the State along with the Centre’s ₹6000.

The State Agriculture Department organised the programme to distribute the seventh instalment of funds. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Agriculture Minister Dattatreya Bharane and Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar were present.

In this seventh instalment, the subsidy for the period from April 2025 to July 2025 was given to the beneficiaries. A total of six instalments has been given to farmer beneficiaries under the State’s Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Yojana. The last instalment was worth ₹11,130 crore received by 93.09 lakh farmers under the State scheme, as per the CMO.
