Three members of a family were killed and two others seriously injured when their car overturned on the Ballari-Siruguppa State Highway near Devinagar Camp in Siruguppa taluk in Ballari district of Karnataka on December 24.
The accident occurred around 5 a.m. as the family from Nittur village was returning after visiting a temple in Tamil Nadu.
The driver of the car reportedly lost control and hit a roadside barrier. The car overturned.
Prasad Rao of Nittur village and two women died on the spot.
The injured were shifted to Ballari Medical College and Research Centre (BMCRC) Hospital in Ballari. Their condition is said to be critical.
A case has been registered at Siruguppa police station.
