The Project Clearance Committee (PCC) meeting of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), under the Industries Department, Government of Bihar, was conducted on Saturday (May 23, 2026) under the chairmanship of Kundan Kumar, Secretary, Industries Department Cum MD, Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) and Infrastructure Development Authority (IDA).

During the meeting, the committee approved 20 industrial projects and allocated nearly 30 acres of land for their establishment.

The proposed projects are expected to attract investments worth approximately ₹350 crore, creating employment opportunities for around 2,300 people across the State.

Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh said that the newly approved industrial projects are set to provide fresh momentum to Bihar’s industrial and technological development. She emphasised that these projects would create large-scale employment and skill-based opportunities for local youth.

“The Government of Bihar remains committed to developing an investor-friendly ecosystem and establishing the State as a modern industrial and manufacturing hub,” Ms. Singh said.

Mr. Kumar, on the other hand, said that the State Government is continuously committed to balanced and inclusive industrial development.

“Through BIADA, industrial land is being allotted to investors through transparent and time-bound processes. Additionally, the government is ensuring a conducive investment environment through robust infrastructure, improved connectivity, simplified procedures, and strong policy support to facilitate the swift and effective implementation of projects,” Mr. Kumar said.

The approved projects span diverse sectors, including food processing, software development, Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) fabrication and manufacturing, furniture manufacturing, Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (uPVC) pipe manufacturing, Compressed Biogas (CBG), healthcare, and general manufacturing.

“These projects will strengthen the industrial base of the State and expand economic activities at the local level. The units will be established across various industrial areas, including Kumarbagh, Begusarai, Hajipur, Patliputra, Bariyarpur, and Sasaram,” Mr. Kundan said.

Major approved companies include Bharat GPS Bioenergy Pvt. Ltd., Crispano Foods & Beverage Pvt. Ltd., SP Institute of Workforce Development Pvt. Ltd., Experia Prefaxo Pvt. Ltd., Rayush Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., and Makhayo Foods Pvt. Ltd., among others. He asserted that the implementation of these projects will further accelerate industrial activity in Bihar and enhance employment and self-employment opportunities for the State’s youth.
