The Cabinet on Wednesday announced a scheme for providing ₹1,000 a month as operational grant for the 19,470 area development societies (ADS) of the Kudumbashree in the State.
The government will set aside ₹23.4 crore a year for the scheme.
The ADS forms the middle tier of the Kudumbashree community organisations. ADSs function at the ward level and include affiliated neighbourhood groups in the ward.
