Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy condemned BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao’s wish to hang Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and asserted that those who wish harm for their near and dear ones can wish the same for everyone.

In a statement on Sunday, he asserted that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has never wished harm upon former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, dismissing the comments made by Mr. Rama Rao and senior MLA T. Harish Rao. He claimed that it is, in fact, Mr. Rama Rao and Mr. Harish Rao who harbour ill intentions toward Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao.

He reminded that Mr. Revanth Reddy had even visited Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao when he was hospitalised and inquired about his health in the Assembly recently. “Mr. Revanth Reddy wishes Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao well and wants him to be healthy,” he said, adding that Mr. Rama Rao and Mr. Harish Rao want otherwise.

The MP accused BRS of betraying its core slogan of water, funds, and jobs and alleged massive corruption in irrigation projects on the Krishna and Godavari rivers during the BRS regime.

He stated that CM Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy have clarified to the public that these projects were executed for commissions rather than public interest. He also urged Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao to come forward and explain the reasons for changing the location of PRLIP from Jurala to Srisailam and clarify details about the irrigation projects to the people. He further alleged that Mr. Rama Rao and Mr. Harish Rao had ensured the expulsion of K. Kavitha from the party to clear their path for leadership.
