Bellamkonda Raja Shekhar, vice-chancellor of Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa, has been conferred FIE (Fellow of The Institution of Engineers India) membership by The Institution of Engineers (India), a distinguished professional engineering body.
The fellowship is the highest grade of membership awarded by the institution, recognising eminent engineers who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of engineering, technology, research and professional leadership.
Mr. Raja Shekhar is an academician and administrator who has made contributions to higher education, research and institutional development. With decades of experience, he has been instrumental in promoting quality education, interdisciplinary research and capacity building in universities, according to a release.
