Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy has urged party leaders and workers to work in coordination with the sole objective of winning the upcoming local body elections.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy, who is the in-charge for Annamayya district, along with Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, district MLAs and constituency in-charges, participated in a review meeting with district-level leaders of the alliance parties in Horsley Hills under the Thamballapalle constituency on Thursday (October 15, 2026). He expressed confidence that alliance candidates would achieve a 100% victory in the upcoming local body elections.

Reviewing the political situation across villages and mandals, the Minister advised that the election strategy be implemented effectively. He provided guidance for leaders of the alliance partner parties to work collectively and strengthen election preparedness at the grassroots level.

The Minister said YSR Congress Party leaders had no moral right to seek votes in the local body elections. He appealed to the public to support and elect the alliance candidates to ensure that development and welfare programmes were implemented more effectively across the State.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy said the State was advancing rapidly on a path of development across all sectors under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and Minister Nara Lokesh. He said the coalition government was working to ensure that development and welfare programmes reach the people more effectively.

The meeting was attended by MLAs M. Shajahan Basha and N. Amarnath Reddy, TDP Zonal Coordinator Damacharla Satya, constituency in-charges and other coalition leaders at the district level.

Minister asks officials to inspect dangerous roads

Mr. Janardhan Reddy has directed officials to immediately implement safety measures on hazardous road stretches in the vicinity of Horsley Hills in Annamayya district and Proddatur in Kadapa district. He directed the Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers concerned to conduct on-site inspections of these roads and put the necessary protective arrangements in place.

He instructed officials to install crash barriers and guardrails in hazardous areas where necessary and to implement special protective measures near ponds, streams, culverts and deep embankments.
