Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (ELITE) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ake Ravi Krishna urged women to help the force prevent drugs and ganja in the State.
He flagged off the trekking organised as part of International Women’s Day at Mangalagiri on Sunday (March 8, 2026).
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP asked the women to acquire knowledge on the ill-effects of drugs and create awareness among their children against its use.
“I request the mothers to be the brand ambassadors of EAGLE and help check drugs, ganja, and other narcotics in the society,” Mr. Ravi Krishna said.
EAGLE Superintendent of Police K. Nagesh Kumar, Guntur District Forest Officer M. Hima Sailaja and other officers participated in the programme.
“Police and the EAGLE force is organising awareness programmes against MDMA, ganja, and other drugs at many places. We request the women to join hands to make A.P. a drug-free State,” the EAGLE head said.
