Rhiya Yadav, also known as Rhiya Ahir, approached the MIDC Police station in Mumbai on Monday (July 27, 2026) regarding alleged cyberbullying and trolling. Last week, Ms. Rhiya had stopped a police van during a CJP protest in the city.

“I had earlier registered an online complaint on the cyber police department’s portal. Today, I sat with the police for the whole day to get the complaint registered,” she told The Hindu. She alleged that she was being bullied and stalked. She also complained of uncalled-for sexting. “There is an effort to spread hate against me online. They are slut-shaming me. This is abuse,” she said, adding that she did not want her family to get affected due to it.

The police said they had taken her statement and were examining the complaint.
