The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday trapped three Bengaluru Police personnel, including a sub-inspector and two head constables, for allegedly accepting a bribe from a complainant.

The accused have been identified as sub-inspector Anita and head constables Yatish Kumar and Ulvappa. They reportedly travelled to Jaipur in connection with the investigation of a dowry harassment case registered in Bengaluru.

According to the ACB officials, the police personnel allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹2 lakh from the complainant in exchange for extending relief in the case proceedings. Following a complaint, the ACB verified the allegations and laid a trap at Hotel Gangaur in Jaipur.

The accused were caught redhanded while accepting ₹40,000 as part of the demanded bribe amount.

The operation was led by ACB Additional Superintendent of Police Bhupendra Chaudhary under the supervision of Deputy-Inspector General of Police Om Prakash Meena. The action was carried out on the directions of Director-General Govind Gupta and Additional Director-General Smita Srivastava.

The ACB has taken the accused into custody.
