The Federation of Private Transport Organisations has staged a protest against taxi aggregators and other issues concerning private transport operators in the city.
It has submitted a complaint to the Transport Commissioner on Friday seeking restrictions on taxi apps on the Play Store and other market places, implementation of a “One City, One Fare” system, and criminal action against unlicensed companies.
Federation president Nataraj Sharma said a 15-day deadline has been given to the government to address their demands.
If no action is taken, the federation will call for a Bengaluru bandh, he said, adding that the protest would begin with private transport operators displaying black flags on their vehicles.
