Alleging double standards by the Congress government over engagements in Davos, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao questioned the government delegation meeting the Greenko representatives in Davos after terming the E Car race a scam.

In an informal media interaction at Telangana Bhavan, KTR said, “On one hand they accuse us of wrongdoing, and on the other they sit across the table with the same company in Davos. Are agreements being signed there? Are backroom deals being discussed?”

He asked whether the government was trying to protect Greenko or issuing threats to extract money in return for withdrawing cases. He pointed out that ministers were meeting several people in Davos, including an Andhra Pradesh BJP MP, and said such actions raise serious questions about the government’s intentions and credibility.

KTR said the BRS was fully prepared and that the issue of changes in districts, along with the Congress party’s betrayal of its promises, will be the main weapons in the campaign. He warned that people in newly created districts are deeply anxious, as voting for Congress would effectively mean consenting to the removal of districts. He said party in-charges will be appointed municipality-wise, with leaders from the respective united districts, and the list will be announced within a day or two.

KTR also renewed his demand for an inquiry into Singareni by a sitting judge, stating that the BRS has no objection to an investigation from any point in time, including from 2014.
