A 2013 IAS officer, G. Srijana, was appointed by Telangana Government as the Commissioner of the newly formed Cyberabad Municipal Corporation. Before the new appointment, she served as Additional Commissioner at Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Commissioner of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Commissioner.

Prior to this, she worked as Collector of NTR and Kurnool districts in Andhra Pradesh, Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh Industries department and Commissioner of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation. Ms. Srijana also served as Joint Collector of Vizag and Sub Collector Vijayawada.

She pursued B.A. in Psychology at St. Ann’s College for Women in Mehdipatnam and Master of Arts in Political Science at University of Hyderabad.

On Wednesday, Ms. Srijana took charge as Commissioner of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation — which has Kukatpally, Serilingampally and Quthbullapur Zones with 16 Circles and 76 Wards. The new corporation was formed after splitting GHMC into three bodies, including Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation and reorganised GHMC.
