December 2025 saw a big box office clash in the Kannada film industry. The action-packed month began with Darshan’s ‘The Devil’ on December 11. Two weeks later, Sudeep’s ‘Mark’ and ‘45’, starring Shivarajkumar, Raj B Shetty and Upendra, released on Christmas Day.

So many stars and back-to-back big films meant that the industry was buzzing with activities. However, despite the pre-release buzz, and grand opening week celebrations by fans, did the three movies truly live up to the hype? Watch the video essay to find out.
