A public gathering, titled Ranganadu, will be held in Visakhapatnam on December 26 to commemorate the legacy of former MLA Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga. The event will be organised under the aegis of Radha Ranga Royal Association.

The event poster was unveiled by Vangaveeti Asha Kiran, daughter of the late Mohan Ranga, in the presence of prominent leaders, including Vangaveeti Shantanu Kumar, Gade Balaji, Amanchi Swamulu and Sudhakar Naidu.

Ms. Asha Kiran emphasised that the gathering transcends caste, religion and political affiliations, bringing together Ranga’s supporters from all walks of life. “Everyone, irrespective of political party, should participate. As my father always said: ‘Hand in hand… victory is inevitable.’ We aim to strengthen Radha Ranga Mitra Mandali across the State with the same spirit,” she said.

Ms. Asha Kiran clarified that she has not made any political decisions and is participating solely to further the activities of Radha Ranga Mitra Mandali under its charitable initiatives. “Currently, my focus is on serving the people and expanding the Mandali’s work. Any political decisions will be announced later,” she added.

Mr. Balaji, convenor of the Radha Ranga Royal Association, highlighted that the association has been organising events on Mohan Ranga’s legacy since 2019, including the ‘Kapunadu’ gathering in 2023. “Ranga was a leader for all communities, not just one caste. This gathering, under the leadership of Asha Kiran and the association is strictly non-political,” he said.
