Telangana government has appointed senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao as Advisor (BC Welfare & Development) in the rank of State Cabinet Minister. The orders were issued on Thursday (April 30, 2026). Mr. Rao has earlier served as an MLA and was elected as Rajya Sabha MP.
With his appointment, the government has 10 Advisors Including Harkara Venugopal Rao, Advisor (Protocol and Public Relations), NVS Reddy, Advisor (Urban Transport). The government on Thursday has also appointed DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy as State Security Advisor.
