Telangana Weather September 26 | Heavy to very heavy rain forecast for 15 districts, 18 under yellow alert

An orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall was issued for 15 districts of Telangana for Friday (September 26, 2025)

Nearly a half of Telangana’s 33 districts may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall on Friday (September 26, 2025). And, 18 districts were forecast to receive heavy rain. 

India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its weather bulletin on Thursday issued an orange alert cautioning of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in 15 districts: Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy.

 The 18 districts which are under yellow alert for heavy rain are Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal.

“Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) are very likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of Telangana,” as per the bulletin
