Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sunday laid the foundation for a modern library-cum-Mudhalvar Padaippagam, to be constructed by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, at a cost of ₹23.06 crore at Harbour Assembly constituency in Chennai.

He also inaugurated a substation constructed by the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited at a cost of ₹18.24 crore at Davidson Road in Broadway. These initiatives were part of the State government’s flagship Vada Chennai Valarchi Thittam (North Chennai Development Plan).

The Deputy Chief Minister also inspected the ongoing construction of water tanks being built by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board at ₹27 crore.
