Two students were killed when their motorcycle rammed a parked goods carrier near Narsingi on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Kavya, 20, a third-year BCA student at Sri Chaitanya Deemed College, Himayathnagar, and T. Kaushik Reddy, 21, a student of the same institute and a resident of Malkapur village in Tandur.

The accident was reported around 2.10 p.m. when Kavya and Kaushik were travelling on a motorcycle. Investigation revealed that Kaushik, who was riding the vehicle, lost control while speeding on the road from Aziznagar towards Kali Mandir and rammed into a parked goods carrier vehicle near the Telangana State Police Academy (TGPA).

Kavya died on the spot due to the impact, while Kaushik sustained serious bleeding injuries and was rushed to a private hospital, where he succumbed on Thursday.

A complaint was lodged by Kavya’s brother, Thuppathuri Sai Kiran, following which Narsingi police registered a case and began an investigation.
