Two IPS officers promoted to DGP rank in Karnataka

The Karnataka government on Friday promoted two IPS officers, Umesh Kumar and Arun Chakravarthy J., to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP).

Mr. Kumar, a 1995-batch IPS officer who is currently serving as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) has been appointed as the DGP, Recruitment.

Mr. Arun, who is serving as the ADGP, Chairman and Managing Director of Karnataka State Police Housing and Infrastructure Development has been promoted as the DGP in for the same post.
